Sinkler Miller Medical Association Scholarship

This scholarship will provide awards to students for the 2017 - 2018 academic year. We will select the most qualified candidates who are high school seniors, or those attending medical and nursing school for these awards. High school seniors are eligible for $1,000 scholarships, nursing and post-baccalaureate students for $1,500 scholarships and medical students for $3,000 to $5,000 scholarships.

CIF Fall Athletes Scholarships

Winners will be selected based on demonstrated principles of good sportsmanship, school and community service, and leadership.

Each CIF member school may nominate one male senior and one female senior student-athlete during each season of sport who demonstrates exemplary sportsmanship, school/community service, and leadership. Nominations must be submitted during the season of sport for which the student-athlete competes in a CIF-approved sport. (Consult the CIF State web site at www.cifstate.org for a complete list of approved sports or to download the application). Nominations must be post marked by the deadline date. Nominations may only be sent via USPS mail.

Beauty & Wellness Scholarship for Women

To be considered eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must meet the requirements below.  The award is intended to help students who are enrolled  (or plan to be enrolled) as undergraduate or graduate college students studying in the United States. The scholarship winner will be asked to provide proof of current/future college enrollment. Recent college graduates, high school juniors, and doctoral candidates are not eligible to apply.

 

-Must be a graduating high school senior (in final semester) or current college undergraduate or graduate student studying at a 4-year, 2-year, vocational, or technical institution in the United States.

Create Real Impact Contest Awards are open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia between the ages of 14 and 22 years. Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) Scholarships

Academic scholarships are based on school and Scouting participation, academic performance, and financial need. Applicants must score a minimum 1800 SAT or 28 ACT to apply. These include a varying number of $5,000 NESA scholarships, and a varying number of $5,000 Mabel and Lawrence S. Cooke scholarships. The Mabel and Lawrence S. Cooke scholarships are awarded annually and include four $25,000 scholarships (payable at $6,250 per year) and one $48,000 scholarship (up to $12,000 payable for four years), plus a varying number of others.

Mel C. Marshall Scholarship

Any high school senior or current college student who will be enrolling fulltime in an academic institution for the academic year beginning in the semester following the date of application. The student’s academic field must be related to the building, construction or PRECAST concrete industry (can include safety, accounting, IT, etc.) The applicant must be a California resident.

Voice of Democracy Scholarship Program

Must be 19 years of age or younger at time of application. Must be a student in grades nine through twelve, who is enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States, its territories and possessions, or in an overseas U.S. military/civilian dependent school. Foreign exchange students and previous Voice of Democracy first-place state winners are ineligible.Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident. This award is for U.S. students.

Ron Brown Scholars Program

The Ron Brown Scholar Program (RBSP) honors the legacy of Ronald H. Brown through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for community-minded and intellectually gifted African Americans. RBSP competitively awards Ron Brown Scholars four-year $40,000 scholarships ($10,000 each year) to the most talented and economically-challenged high school seniors who demonstrate a keen interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship and global citizenship – the four pillars of the late Ronald H. Brown’s mission to uplift people of all races, cultures and ethnicities – especially our disadvantaged youth.

NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing

The National Center for Women & IT (NCWIT) is “designed to increase women’s meaningful participation in computing careers by providing encouragement, visibility, community, leadership opportunities, scholarships and internships to high potential technically inclined young women.” High school women can apply for this scholarship by filling out an online application.

Prudential Spirit of Community Award

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service. State Honorees receive an award of $1,000, an engraved silver medallion, and an all-expense-paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, D.C., for national recognition events.

Community Service Scholarship

The Good Tidings Community Service Scholarship was created in 1999 for High School Seniors who recognize the benefits of serving their community. Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors in the graduating class of 2016 based on greatest service and financial need. Twenty $5,000 scholarships will be awarded in the fall of 2018.

The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2018 competition.

 

Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply.

Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.

College students are not eligible to apply.

Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

Male and female students compete separately.

Ranging from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year, Most Valuable Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. college or university.

2019 National Space Club and Foundation Keynote Scholar Application

-The applicant must be a U.S. citizen.

-The scholarship is open to seniors in high school through graduate students.

-The applicant must have the intention of pursuing a career in the STEM fields and plan to attend an accredited U.S. college or university to follow a course of study to pursue a career in the STEM field, with a preference for those with space related interests.

-The applicant can only use the $10,000.00 scholarship towards tuition for the 2017-2018 academic year.

-The applicant must not have previously spoken at the Dr. Robert H. Goddard Memorial Dinner.

-The applicant may apply for any of the scholarships offered by the National Space Club and Foundation (Robert H. Goddard Memorial Scholarship, Olin E Teague Scholarship, Keynote Scholarship) in the same year, but may only win one in the same year.
