National Anthem/Alma Mater Tryouts will be on Wednesday, February 1st at lunch in room 72.

 

**Attention Girls who want to play Rugby**

 

If you have previously met with Mr. Russo regarding Rugby and gave your name or picked up a waiver there is a meeting today at Lunch in room 495.

Even if you haven’t expressed interest before today is a great day to get started.  All forms will be available for pick up.  Transportation will be provided for a beginner’s weekend clinic this Sunday from 2-5.  Forms must be signed prior, so remember to pick those up in room 495

 

Vallejo High school is look for JV girls to join the soccer team. If you’re looking to come out please stop by the finance office for practice times and location

 

 

Attention VHS Scholars:  The Spring Membership drive for CSF is now open.  Enrollment forms can be picked up in Ms. Delgado's room, room 33 of the science building.  Forms must be completed and submitted by Monday, February 26, 2017, along with a copy of your semester grades or transcript and a $5.00 membership fee.  No late forms will be accepted.  Meetings are held every other Thursday in room 33.

 

Grab your sweetheart or gather your friends, CSF Val-O-Pics are here again!!  CSF will again be offering their annual valentine pictures for sale this year.  Pictures will be taken Wednesday through Friday,
February 8th, 9th and 10th and will be delivered on Monday, February 13th just in time for Valentine's Day.

Again, pictures will be taken in the bottom floor of the science building.  Look for prices on posters and flyers located around the school and come early to assure a chance at this 2017 memory!

 

Vallejo High School is offering an after school tutoring program this year called “Adalante”. This program will run all year in Room 485 for all Humanities subjects and Room 481 for all Math and Science subjects. So if you need extra support with you classes, please come to the tutoring services. All students are welcome

 

VHS FOOD PANTRY

 

Attention VHS students- Did you know we have our very own VHS Food Pantry on campus in room 12?! Please spread the word to your family and friends. Everyone is welcome to come by room 12 (near the front parking lot) after school from 3:00pm – 4:00pm Monday – Friday to pick up some food items you would like.

MEETINGS / CLUBS

 

The Black Student Union will be hosting a Historically Black College Forum in the auditorium during 4th period on Friday, February 3rd. If you are interested in attending this forum please see either Ms. Jackson in room 43, or Ms. Beckford-Nelson in room 78. 

 

 

VHS Chess club meets Fridays at Lunch in room 483- All level players welcome!

 

VHS Football Team Mandatory study hall and team meeting every Wednesday @ 2:00 pm in the cafeteria. 2:00 pm is study hall and 3:00 pm is the football meeting. All other students and athletes are invited to study hall. Must bring class or homework and must be on time.

 

Attention all Juniors! If you are interested in helping plan prom, join the prom committee by seeing Mr. Johansen in room 72. The meetings are every Tuesday at lunch in room 72.

SENIORS

Senior Sweatshirts are currently on sale in the finance office for $45. There is very limited quantity of sizes. It is first come, first serve. 

 

Attention all Seniors! The Senior Snow trip is on February 17th. If you haven’t bought a ticket yet, there is a chance you can still go! There is approximately 40 spots remaining. It is first come, first serve, and the final day to purchase tickets will be on February 10th in the finance office. Permission slips will also be due to the finance office on February 10th.

College and Career Info

 

The Kaiser summer internship application is now open. If you are 16 and interested in working for Kaiser this summer, make sure to complete the application online by next Friday February 10th. For more information, please see Ms. Jeanty in the college and career center, Room 501.

 

 

Looking for a job? Six flags is having a recruitment fair on site this Friday, February 3rd at 3:00pm at the fairgrounds. They will have on site applications and interviews.  For more information, go to sixflagsjob.com
